Babel Street returned as a corporate sponsor for the Border Patrol Foundation’s (BPF) recent annual charitable golf event, “Honoring the Green” held on Friday, September 30, 2022, in Ashburn, VA. The event drew over 150 golfers to the 1757 Golf Club in support of the Border Patrol Foundation’s mission to honor the memory of fallen U.S. Border Patrol agents and provide support and resources to the surviving families.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the largest federal law enforcement agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and is the country's primary border control organization. The BPF provides support to those employed by the Border Patrol for on- and off-duty deaths, injuries, illnesses, and more.
A Worthy Mission
Babel Street has always been a company that believes in giving back to the communities we serve. Aiding the missions of federal law enforcement agencies has been a signature commitment at Babel Street since our founding more than a decade ago. When we heard about this event and learned more about the Border Patrol Foundation’s mission, we knew we had to get involved. The charitable programs the BPF fund are crucial not only because they honor the memories of fallen agents, but also because these activities provide much-needed support to their families. We are proud to be able to play a small role in supporting such an important endeavor.
“The Border Patrol Foundation and extended U.S. Customs and Border Protection community that it serves has special meaning for our team at Babel Street,” said Mohamad “Moe” El-Hamalaway, SVP of FedCiv at Babel Street. “The mission this great organization serves is one we are proud to support through our ongoing sponsorship of this special event.”
Working Together in Celebration
Our team was on hand at the event to help with set-up, breakdown, and anything else that needed to be done. The best part of our day was seeing the smiles as golfers stopped by our tent to warm up with the coffee and donuts we brought in to fuel their fun.
Following the round of golf, we kept the celebration going by giving away a Nintendo Switch to one lucky event participant. It was a great opportunity for us to get involved in our community and support a worthy cause.
We had a great time participating in this year’s “Honoring the Green” event and are already looking forward to next year. We would like to thank all of those who came out to support the Border Patrol Foundation and its important mission.
